The college is managed by Namita Education Trust, registered under the Mumbai Public Trusts Act 1860 and 1950. Established in 1997 with the exclusive mission of offering students from tribal, hilly, and rural areas an opportunity for an excellent teacher educational experience, it promotes the social development of the area around its campus.

The college was established to educate the rural masses, equipping them to deal with the challenges of today’s globalized world, foster career awareness, and create responsible citizens for the country. Students from rural areas and economically as well as educationally underprivileged tribal areas are served by the college.

The National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE) has approved the B.Ed. program offered by this prestigious institution.
